COLLECTION NOTE

This collection features documentation and oral history interviews with traditional folk artists and craftspeople from the eastern coalfield region of Kentucky. The project was funded by a grant received from the Kentucky Arts Council Folk Arts Program. It focused on six counties in the region: Harlan, Knott, Perry, Martin, Letcher, and Leslie.
